What does a home gathering look like?
We have launched home gatherings as part of an integrated response to the gathering restrictions implemented in response to COVID-19.
As such, home gatherings will be small (growing as restrictions and comfort levels allow), and consist of 3-4 families committed to the community and health of all attendees. Home gatherings are to adhere to current Alberta guidelines (see here). The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone, so we strongly encourage all our online church attendees to connect to a Home Gathering. This may include some group members who participate remotely and connect to a Home Gathering community using online means (Zoom, phone, etc) at this time.
What will home gatherings do?
We share the desire for more meaningful community and feel that home gatherings can facilitate tangible ways to connect, participate in online worship gatherings, and encourage one another in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
We believe home gatherings are a powerful means for building community and leadership development at this time. |
What if my family is already meeting in a cohort?
If you're family is already meeting with 1 or 2 others as a cohort to participate in online services - that's great! Please share with us, as we want to encourage and resource you at this time. We are investing heavily in the resourcing and development of Home Gatherings, emerging leaders, and multiplication moving into the Fall of 2020.

While the weather holds, we are able to provide larger outdoor gatherings. However, moving into the cooler months, we strongly encourage your family to connect with in-person Sundays or with a Home Gathering. You were never meant to walk through life alone - we believe this next season ahead will be marked by mighty small communities of people growing together - (to receive ongoing updates/details, you can subscribe for weekly updates).
