We have returned to services. In order to respond responsibly to the COVID recommendations for church gatherings, we are providing a detailed picture of what you can expect Sunday mornings below.

What we are doing

• Multiple service times to support appropriate distancing - 9:30am & 11am service times
• Active screening & attendance/sign-in
• Appropriate social distancing between seating (families & cohort groups)
• Hand sanitizer stations available
• Cleaned/sanitized surfaces (before services)
• Mandatory masks bylaw (see here)

• No coffee or food provided 
• Kids church. See KIDS CHURCH PLAN - here
• Nursery space provided for parent & child use (sanitized before services); please bring toys for your child(ren)

What you can do

• Active screening: please refrain from attending if you are experiencing symptoms or should be isolating under AB guidelines.
• Online check-in prior to services (this is a mandatory requirement for all churches) - preferably, you can check-in ahead of time each week online or at the door using your phone
• You can bring your own hand sanitizer 
• You can bring your own coffee (snacks for kids)
• Wear a mask (mandatory bylaw for public places)
• Parents, we look forward to having our kids participating with us. Please come prepared with any necessary toys or books for younger children (our nursery room space will be made available). 
• Come to serve others as well as be served, as we observe these guidelines together in love for one another.​

Sunday Mornings

It is our aim to provide meaningful community, connection, and encouragement for those who call our church home and who are investigating more about Jesus. This means we will continue to have an online presence while offering in-person services as well.

​Why so much information? Should I be concerned?
We have purposefully moved slow in our return to gathering in order to serve our church well and lessen any undue concerns. We want to provide as much information as possible to allow you to have the necessary confidence and comfort in returning to in-person services.

What if I am not ready for in-person services?
For those who are unable, or not quite ready, to attend an indoor gathering, we want to serve you through online service and community. For more information, please contact us at hi@missionhillchurch.ca.

What changes can I expect?
To accommodate the guidelines listed above, our services will be shortened to 45 minutes and provide 2 services times (9:30am & 11am) to make room for return attendance.

​What will worship look like? 
The Alberta recommendations regarding group singing pose a significant challenge. While we look forward to incorporating more singing in the future, we will be emphasizing meaningful ways to worship as a church community such as scripture reading, common prayer, stories and testimonies. 

How do I get involved?
Our teams are being re-established to make Sundays mornings happen. As such, please contact us to get involved. We are in need of greeters to assist check-in and active screening, and setup members to sanitize high-contact surfaces. All of our volunteer roles have been simplified to accommodate these our necessary changes. To get involved, contact us at hi@missionhillchurch.ca.
